Hi All,

Huge congratulations to those who passed after the long wait and a mega congratulations to those who are finally done with the journey – I hope to celebrate like you one day.

However, I am in dire need for advice on how to pass AUDIT. I failed with a 67 and sure that I was stronger in MCQs and weaker in Sims.

Please suggest any study material that prepared you well for both the MCQs and SIMS. I used Becker and it really prepared me for the MCQs but not quite for the sims.

I am delaying my start date which can potentially lead to loss of the job offer because of the retake of Audit. Hence, I want to make sure, I ace it!!

I did my AUD retake before the changes, so take this with a grain of salt I suppose. I basically hammered out MCQ and handwrote all my notes to reinforce my understanding of the concepts. With the SIMs being my heavily weighted, I would recommend brushing up on some financial accounting material. When I did AUD pre-change, there were some FAR SIMs but not too in depth, I believe ratios and adjusting journal entries were the big ones you needed to know. Hope this helps.

For me I felt the same way about MQC and that Becker prepared me well for that aspect.

In terms of the simulations I felt very unprepared. My simulations were very ratio intense and so I would hit that area hard beforehand. Looking back I think audit would have been much easier if I had taken it after FAR and BEC first because it seems a lot of audit sims focused more on those concepts than actual audit concepts.

Just make sure you read through all multiple choice you get wrong and do every single one twice.
