This is starting to freak me out every day I get a reminder on how close its getting for me to take the exam. I am about 1/2 way through my Becker exam material and still have 3 more chapters to go. Does anyone have any advice on what i should do? I’ve already established to ditch the videos and look at the e-book for important highlights but I don’t think i’ll fully understand all of this material by January 17.

if you can push back i would. it depends on if you think you can grasp it all and what your schedule is like. is it 14 days of full time studying? i know i wouldnt be able to study 3 chapters and review 6 in 14 days but some people can.

im sitting for AUD on 1/15 and have gone through becker twice and will hopefully finish ninja mcq before next week.

A-6 isnt too bad and A-5 is pretty short too so it can be done.

Push it back. You need to finish the material and go through all the MCQ again as review.

@jstay.. It will not be 14 days of full time studying unfortunately since i work full time. I also have training for work that week of the exam in another city so I really don't want to rely on that entire week being study time as well. MY plan is to try and get through 4 and 5 this week and the week of read through 6 and do the MCQs. I want to reschedule it but the thing is it's my 2nd time rescheduling the exam due to other personal reasons. If push comes to shove i'll just have to buckle down and reschedule for a later date.

In all reality, I think you can do it (depending on how much flexibility you have during the day to bang out a quick set of MCQ's (lunch break)? I did AUD in 4 weeks but found every second I could to study. I also work full time and, coincidentally, I had a training for work the week before my exam but in all reality I got my most studying done here. The days ended early and then I would go back to my hotel room and study all night long. Not being at home where there are distractions was so helpful. I don't know if you have any control over this but my training was in Vail so I was able to get a small apartment for my lodging. That way I could just cook in my room and not have to leave. If you could get a room with a kitchen or kitchenette would help so much.

I did listen to all the lectures. I would listen to a part of the lecture, do all the MCQ's for that part, then move on to the next part of the chapter's lecture. I would then complete the SIMS for the entire chapter and then move on to the next chapter. It worked so well for AUD I am doing it for BEC.

I then saved the last 3-4 days for Becker's final review (which in no doubt in my mind is why I passed and is worth every dime in my opinion). I worked my way through all of that and again, in my free time, would bang out a quick set of MCQ's. Chapters 5 and 6 go way quicker than 3 and 4.

It's not impossible. But if you feel genuinely lost and don't have a ton of time then maybe it would be worth it to reschedule.

If you feel like you can't complete the program in full in the next two weeks and then do a sufficient amount of review then reschedule – no shame in pushing it back again if you don't feel you will be prepared and you've got time on your NTS.

If you really have to do it in 14 days –

    1) Know reports well – which one is issued when

    2) Read SSARS/SSAE related reports very well

    3) Create your own comprehensive notes ( abridged version) that you can imbibe everyday.

    4) Create Mnemonics- for instance RAP LESS MA was helpful for Review report. It means Review, Analytic procedures, Less in scope than , Management Resp, Auditors Resp. ( They can trick you in the exam by saying auditor)

    5) Know Independence well. Read “BACKGROUND AND BASIS FOR CONCLUSIONS

IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBER” from AICPA website.

    6) Create a one page chart – PERCV on the left (rows); Cash, AP, AR, PPE, Inventory as columns. Write 3 lines for each. For instance, valuation under Inventory you will have check inventory obsolesce.

    7) Read Ninja notes every day

    8) Know sample risk relationships and do one comprehensive problem on it.

    9) Do sample test from AICPA and understand the concepts and variations of all MCQ's and SIMS given in that test.

I would push it back if you can. I like to have 2 full weeks of solid review after going through all the material.

    A - 75
    B - 78 God is good.
    F - 77 Answered prayers.
    R - 84! Done!!

Paperwork sent - waiting for license!!
Still on a cloud and in shock. Through God, all things will happen.
