    Hi everyone,
I just failed AUD the 2nd time with another 72. I took it the first time in November ( used Becker and Ninja, about 120 hours study while working full-time). Then I retook it 3 weeks later ( about 60 hours study more) and failed at the same score. I was Comparable on MCQ and Weaker on SIMS. I would love to know who to prepare for SIMS in AUD. Any advice would be very appreciated.
I passed FAR and BEC. The hardest thing after failing the exam ( especially the 2nd time) is how to explain to family and some friends. I feel shameful and doubted myself. My family was a little angry and asked me why I kept failing since I didn’t fail any exam in college.

Sorry for typo: “I would love to know how to prepare for SIMS in AUD.”

I did exactly one SIM in Becker. There is absolutely no way to prepare for them. They avenues they could approach a SIM from are infinite. You just have to know the material. Trying to study for SIMS is a waste of time. Absolute waste.

I got a DRS in mine, and I did not even realize it was a DRS until after the exams. I started panicking, but I settled down, read the instructions and started to take it one question at a time. Leave yourself enough time is all I can say. I went into the SIMS with 2 hrs and 15 minutes and it took the pressure off.
if you get stuck on a SIM, screw it, just keep moving back and forth..Something in another SIM may jog your memory. That is what I do with multiple choice. If I can't get the answer in about 20 seconds or the questions is too wordy…next. Alot of times the questions are either bunched around a concept or random.. And question 27 in one testlet may help with an earlier question..And answer choice in a question you are sure about does not jive with an answer you selected earlier..Leverage all resources.

Before the SIMS, my advice is to get up, walk around, and eat a protein bar or a piece of fruit and recharge your brain. It helps alot.

    Good luck on your retake.

im in a very similar position! failed AUD 7/2016 with a 67 and failed 10/2016 with a 70… improvement but still not enough. I only used becker those two times. I currently have that scheduled again for 5/2016 and I have just purchased NINJA AUD notes and audio (with choosing AUD plus as my ‘freebie’ with the promotion right now).

Hoping the audio with really click for me because i can memorize songs like crazy usually and i can just play it while im driving, working out, working, etc. hoping to do that during the day and at night read through the becker book and the NINJA notes (and hopefully after listening to audio all day it will seem more familiar and click better).

Just found out I failed REG for the second time today with 2X more studying and actually lost 4 pts… so I’m giving myself a break from that till the summer (cause clearly something isnt working there) and giving myself till the weekend to come up with a study plan for AUD. Its hard to pass BEC back in 5/2016 and hear back from 5 exams now that ive failed,

definitely feel defeated at times but honestly these forums are super supportive and help you feel like youre not alone! Dont listen to your family, they have no idea what it is like!! I never had a problem in high school or college with passing exams or classes and i have fail FAR once, AUD twice and now REG twice. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!

I have to agree with SIM practice is not helpful for the actual SIM. It is actual more helpful for the multiple choice questions than it is for SIM. The practice one is only helpful to enhance your knowledge of the subject in general and perhaps get an idea of the format.

I'm in the exact boat! I took AUD in Dec and got a 70. Retook it last month and just found out I got a 73! Only two points away! And yeah the second one the TBS really killed me. They had all these confusing scenarios where you have to pick a choice from drop down menus, and a lot of the time I felt like more than one choice made sense and a lot of the scenarios I had no idea what they were even asking.

So yeah, back to hitting the books.

Btw I've also only passed BEC and FAR as well.
