Are domain names that are resold considered inventory?

    So if a business purchases domain names and then resells them, are they considered inventory? This would be assuming reselling domain names is not the primary purpose of the business but it is something they do on the side.

    If this is the case, can someone point me to a regulation?

    Probably not inventory since it is not tangible.
    Try ASC 350 Intangibles.
