    Hi Everyone,

It might be a silly question to ask, but I am not a tax person myself. I would like to ask for advice on the preparing my own tax return this year. Since I am paying my CPA study expenses on my own, is it possible to deduct those expenses somewhere on the Form 1040 for professional development or continuing education expenses? Any advice appreciated.

    A broke CPA Candidate.

I had a client try to run his Rogaine through his business. I always coded it to “draw”. 🙂

I knew someone who wanted to claim expensive hair cuts and french manicures as professional expenses because it was part of maintaining the professional image. LOL, so then I guess I could lease a mercedes and claim that too!

If it's business use for your own business you actually could claim the depreciation on a Mercedes (or any vehicle). Business suits, hair care (including rogaine), pedicures & manicures on the other hand – not so much. (pun intended!)

The only you're getting me to buy into all of your scams is if we make Pinot Grigio tax deductible. Then I will go to bat for massages, facials and even business suits.
