Anyone knows when I will get my congratulatory letter? Anyone received it yet?

I recently passed all exams and is waiting for my congratulatory letter to begin my license application process (required by my state). I sat for the last exam on May 29, and got my score on June 9. Originally, I found that it will be sent out by July 15th on NASBA website. However, one of my friends from LA, who sat the exam in the same window as I did, told me that she got the letter just yesterday – this is a month earlier than I heard! Since the no email will be given to notify that the letter has been sent and my mail box is “kind of a mess” lately, I want to know in what approximate time frame will I get the letter? And anyone received it yet? Thanks.

I sat and got my score on the same dates as you. I got my letter yesterday. We haven't checked the mail in a while so it could have come sooner.

@coloradorit Lucky! My friend took exam in CA, so it seems that things happen faster in the west haha. I sat the exam in NH but I move to MA now. I am so afraid that it can get lost.

Luckily we don't have to wait for the letter in CO. Weird they make you wait as you can just get your scores off CPA Central (and I'm sure they'd verify the scores anyway). With CO, MO, and LA arriving yesterday, hopefully yours will be there any minute! Congrats!

@DoOver Congrads! And thanks for letting me know! Now I know that some people are getting theirs!

@coloradorit I think I cause this trouble myself. I should have sat the exam in MA in the first place. Now that I have to transfer my grades from NH to MA, they ask me for the letter because there is an additional transcript evaluation added to this process. Otherwise, I don't think anyone would need to wait for my letter to apply. 🙁

It's just a little extra paperwork and a few extra weeks. What matters is you passed and you will be licensed soon! And then it will be alllllllllllllllllll worth it!

I'm sure if you make some calls, someone can tell you if the letter was sent out or what to do in the mean time. Do you need the letter to apply for your license? Either way if you get the application and start filling it out someone will let you know what you need to do.

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass

@coloradorit I just can't wait lol. Last time the post office lost my tax return, and when the second time it came, my roommate put her wet towel on my letter while she was cooking….So now whenever there is an important letter coming, I get really nervous. Lol

@tncincy It seems that I do need a letter to start the application due to the need for a re-evaluation of my transcript and degree. I called the evaluation institute a few days ago, and they said “If the purpose of your request is for CPA licensure, then we also need a copy of the letter issued by the CPA Board stating that you have passed the CPA examinations.” So this is just stuck in my way.

@coloradorit Ah, so basically, it has been sent out for a week now. Is it sent from NASBA or from your state board?
