I’m supposed to take Audit in two weeks. However, I did not realize when scheduling it that I have family coming to visit that week. We have all stuff planned and my apartment is gonna be packed. I’m considering just postponing the exam for a week. Anyone else have a similar experience? I feel like you might as well reduce the stress/inconvenience. Plus even if I take it on my original date, I will still have to wait for my score until the 25th.

I postponed my FAR exam by 10 days because I wanted to enjoy Christmas and my girlfriends birthday. I was studying hard before I rescheduled, so I didn't feel guilty because of it. I just wanted to maximize my chances of passing my first exam especially because it was FAR.

I think it is important to hold yourself accountable for the hours that you need to study, but if family things come up or you are not prepared then being able to reschedule the exams 5 days before for a small fee is a valuable asset.

The logic I used was that pushing FAR back 10 days would put my schedule 10 days behind. However if I did not pass the chances are that I would have to study another month or so, which would have a greater impact on when I finished these exams. Especially because I would have to wait 2 months to take it again. However if FAR was scheduled the last day of the testing window(like my audit) I would take my chances and see if I could pass.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

I'm not sure any time is a good time for a CPA exam.

I agree, Heaven knows how many times I have rescheduled, redid my notes, cried at night, etc, end result=retest. I don't know why reschedule feels like failure or simply a chicken. I don't know, but I know I have felt it since Dec. At some point I'll face it and just take the thing.

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass
