Like your dreams resemble something from your subconscious that are seemingly prophetic or somehow relevant/symbolic for your life? I think it has to do with the heightened level of focus day to day from studying that causes it.

    Only me? 😂

I'm not sure my dreams are all that prophetic, but they were definitely relevant. When I was studying for BEC, it seemed like all I could dream about was testing or studying. Ratios, variances, and COSO all popped into my dreams. Its bad enough all of my conscious hours are filled with them. The last thing I wanted to think about when I was sleeping was this stupid exam.

I remember that while I was studying, I kept having non-specific dreams where I was in a situation and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't solve the puzzle or figure out how to get out of whatever trouble I was in. These dreams happened most while I was cramming nonstop for my FAR and REG retakes, clearly my brain felt like I wasn't going to pass.. TAKE THAT, BRAIN!

I've found that I dream about things like this if I am studying right before bed. So I try to have an hour or two of wind down time before bed so I don't have to deal with it. The couple weeks leading up to FAR, I was doing amortization tables in my sleep lol

I would constantly dream that I was working through formulas or studying flash cards. It was awful because I'd wake up more exhausted than I'd been the night before!

This question is very timely. I just had to renew my drivers license which expired last week. It's my only acceptable primary ID for testing (next test is on March 6th), so I'm slightly anxious about receiving it on time. I had a dream last night, that I received it: it did not have my name on it, just my boyfriend's first name and it did not have my picture, just a picture of a wall.

Usually my CPA exam dreams are about what I just studied though.

on an unrelated note, on score release day I had a dream that I got 98 on regulation.

I knew that was not incorrect, because i did not study much and studied enough just to pass.

It's interesting many of you actually have dreams about this exam or studying for the exam, I never have.

My dreams lately, in fact each night this past week, has been about something from my past. Like ex girlfriends or old friends that I had arguments with and no longer talk to. It's like seeing them and communicating with them again in the dream allows me to say things or experience talking to them again which helps to move forward or mature in real life. Not that I had any grudges or even think about them any more, but subconsciously it seems it must mean something.

    Very interesting to me!

I frequently wake up trying to solve MCQ's. It's super annoying, but kind of funny too! Definitely not good for my sleep!

Yes! all the time. I had a dream I got a 74 on FAR and woke up relieved because it meant I could actually pass FAR. Another dream where I was standing in a line and me and the person in front of me started discussing the parts we took. Sometimes I lay in bed half asleep and I am reciting gibberish type mcq questions… (this also happens when I read a lot).

No but I've woken up many times and felt like the lowest lifeform in the universe and putting a bullet through my brain after thinking “Another day of studying for these godawful exams”

Yes, lately I've been having crazy anxiety over FAR and nightmares about random things that have happened in my life.
