First of all, I love this board. I think it is a great tool to motivate accountants to improve as professionals through the CPA licensing process and other avenues.
I am a CPA candidate in Oregon and have passed the exams. The only problem now is finding a supervisor willing to sign off. I’m on my second supervisor (at a CPA firm) now and it seems like a repeat situation where they promise the work necessary to get signed off and then they constantly move the goal posts deeper and deeper. Frustrating because my licensing is in the hands of someone else.
I’m pursing the license in order to gain more credibility as a professional but recently I’ve been wondering whether it is worth it to continue beating a dead horse as I could use the increase in salary that would come from working for a business.
Has anyone else completed the Oregon narrative? Any input would certainly be appreciated.
