Anyone else feel guilty when they don't study?

I stay home on Monday’s to watch my son and usually get around 3-4 hours of studying done when he takes his naps during the day. Today for some reason, he barely slept and I only got around an hour in. It makes me feel guilty that I wasn’t productive, but there’s really nothing I could have done. I try to get at least 20-25 hours a week, but it’s tough when you have a little one and your wife works as well.

Anyone else feel guilty when they don’t study or get as much done as you had planned?

Yes! Always. But You have a legit reason to because of your son. But at least you studied for an hour. I always try to study for 4-5 on weekends and I ended wasting most of saturday. What was I thinking!?!?!? Anyways, we all need a break in between.

Reg on 11/26? Dang, @RE2PECT, you def have my respect thats a bad timing (2 days after thanksgiving). I'd really need to force myself to study during that time. Nonetheless, Best of luck to you!

PS.The way to make myself feel better is to study a little bit more than regular schedule the following day to make up for the loss time. 🙂 Just don't get too hard on yourself! We all have those times.

I've taken the whole year off work to pass these exams I really don't know how a lot of you do it.

So yea I feel super guilty not working, if I have a bad study day or week. But if I had a kid (we have one in the oven currently) I'd feel no guilt about anything though. Don't be too hard on yourself! Major props for sticking with this despite some fails that were super close.

@Spartans92- I wish I could take it the last day of the window, but my NTS expires on 11/26. I should have never tried to save money and just scheduled the exams when I was ready to take them. I'm taking off from work all of Thanksgiving week to cram so hopefully that'll help.

@letsrun4it- Congrats on the bun in the oven! It's the greatest feeling in the world and it makes you a better person. Hopefully you get FAR over with before the baby comes. I was the opposite and had one 4 weeks before my first exam (FAR) lol.

I am not currently working, and I have no kids. So when I have unproductive days (sometimes weeks), I sometimes get really down on myself. I have no reason not to crack out five or six hours a day most days. It is a slippery slope, because after a bad day or two of studying I start to get anxiety and depression which makes it even harder to study. The trick, like mentioned above, it not to be too hard on yourself. Find the positive in whatever else you are doing, and come back refreshed instead of stressed out. At least that is what I try to do

YES! I can study for 6 hours then go to a friends house to try to relax but the whole time I'm there I am constantly thinking that I COULD be studying and end up not relaxing or enjoying myself at all.
