Since I’ve been studying for the CPA I’ve gained about 10 pounds. Anybody experiencing the same?

^agree – if anything a 20 minute run will make you more alert and allow you to focus better

I don't know, I always feel confused and dumb for about an hour after running. Also, how do you only spend 20 minutes to run for 20 minutes? Do you need to change? Shower? My actual workout takes 40 minutes, but I need 1.5 hours total

run for 20 and then shower quickly for 5 to 10 minutes. I take about 40 minutes overall. I don't care about my looks since it is the evening.

Plus, after the first 2 weeks of exercising, I feel more alert

    REG: 65, 77*
    AUD: Fail, 64, 71

anjanja, I wonder if you are letting your blood sugar get low and that's why you feel that way? Make sure to eat an appropriate snack a little before running, and then again within 30 minutes of finishing (or time it to come before a healthy meal).

Totally agree with the others who said that exercise is one of the best things you can do for your brain while studying for this exam. That, and giving it good fuel.

I started the CPA process back in August and I weighed about 158~. In that time I ran the Urbanathlon and I still try to hit the gym 3 times a week and I jump rope on a consistent basis. Went to the doctor's the other day and I came in at 160. (Clothes and shoes on!)

When I started the process I made it a goal not to sabotage my health for the sake of passing the CPA. In the grand scheme of things, becoming certified just isn't worth becoming unhealthy.

Probably, I just hate eating before working out, it makes my stomach sick. Maybe should try something small

I plan on gaining an extra 120 lbs in May when I take my AUD exam. Those extra lbs will be me taking the cute Prometric Girl out that same day after the exam.

I'm actually losing weight. Sometimes, I get such in the zone with studying, I forget about eating and ignore my stomach growls. There have been lots of times where I could go an entire day on just one meal, tons of water, and weird snacks. Am i happy about this? Not at all because I am already really scrawny for my height. Oh well, the end is near (cross fingers)

Tough times don't last. Tough people do.
