[Reasonable Assurance]

Hi All-

Currently working at a Big 4 in audit and was offered a position at a very respectable company in their AML Audit division. Does anyone have any insight as to which career path is ultimately the best, or is anyone in AML that can describe their experiences? I’d have to go for my ACAMS certification right after I wrap up the CPA.

I did some internal audit work in AML. I thought it was pretty bland, and I used little to no knowledge I had gained as an accounting major or CPA.

It just depends what you want to do with your career. BSA/AML is a very niche service, so once you're good at it or have a few years of experience in it, it might be hard to switch out. Also, you're limited to financial institutions which you may not like down the road.
