Americans with Disabilities Act – ADD

Anyone on here use the ADA modification to take the CPA exam?

I originally did not want to take this route but after sitting for multiple parts of the CPA exam I think it is necessary. I have been diagnosed with ADD since middle school and have always been accommodated with respect to ADD. I was given extra time on tests or given a separate room to take them in so I would not become distracted.

This is a problem I am facing now so I am wondering if anyone else on here has been accommodated on the CPA exam for ADD. Please be respectful.

Yes they do accomodate ADD, so I've read. I've also read the process to get accomodations is frustrating.

Honestly I can't imagine anything more excruciating than spending more time at prometric on exam day (and yes I do have diagnosed ADD) but if it would be helpful to you call prometric and see what documentation they need.

    Yes.

I received accommodations as im dyslexic

if you have received accommodations in the past then I assume you have been evaluated by a psychologist. You will need a report by a psychologist along with proof of past accommodations such as on the SAT,GMAT, in college.

It wasn't hard for me to get accommodations but I have an extensive history with very compelling documentation.

If have posted here before on this topic.. maybe u can search the other posts out.
