Am I the only one thinking the AICPA dues are pretty steep? I just paid for my license renewal and local society membership dues to the tune of about $250. Add AICPA membership dues on top of that and…holy cr*p! https://www.aicpa.org/membership/dues/pages/dues.aspx

Not to worry, you have required CPE to keep your license renewed every 2 years. The classes that the AICPA puts on offers you member discounts that typically exceed the cost of the membership.

Because I pay for all these fees out of my own pocket, I'm complaining….my employer doesn't pay for anything.

I'm a BASE affilliate, so this CPE is much more in my price range – 40 hours for $100.00:

I signed up for a 2 year membership to cpethink.com I think it was just under $300 for UNLIMITED CPE credits during those 2 years.

Got my 60 (pro rated) to renew my license 6/13 and will get the other 80 before my subscription expires in 2015. So 140 credits for $300 was pretty good, I think!

    BEC -75
