So I am THE accounting dept where I work. They are very nice to me and I am truly the only one who understands accounting concepts here. I have a manager who is more involved in other aspects of the biz, but anyway, I do it all, AP, Payroll, Monthend etc … and when I started I had negotiated 3 weeks of vaca, because I have been doing this for 15 years and I was not starting over with 2 weeks … I have taken 4 days of said vacation … I want to take about 6 more days and I feel weird to ask for it off … Its over Nov and Dec (and 3 of the days include immediate days around Christmas) Should I feel weird about asking for it off?
