Hello all,
I am graduated with a BA in Business Admin with a concentration in Finance.
Here is the accounting subject requirements for the California CPA exam:
Accounting, Financial Reporting, Auditing, Financial Statement Analysis, External or, Internal Reporting,Taxation.
Since I was a “Finance” major, I did not take a lot of accounting classes. I just need some clarification as to whether my finance core class can meet the “accounting subject” requirements?.
Here’s a list of the “core” finance classes:
Investment analysis, Corporate Finance,Corporate valuation, Evaluation of financial policy, business forecasting, multinational finance management, finance modeling.
I have a feeling none of these meet the requirement. I have only taken the first two accounting classes so that would mean I would need 22 semesters of accounting subject?
Also, any advice would be nice to help me decide if I should pursue a CPA or find another venue.
Thanks
