accounting program vs few accounting classes

Hi everyone, I graduated from Baruch College 2 years ago majoring in Finance and minoring in Math. I already have 150 credits. During my school I took only 3 accounting classes so far. One of my accounting classes was ACC 2203 Principles of Managerial Accounting for Non-accounting Majors. Will it be counted towards to Cost Accounting/Managerial Accounting? Now I’m taking an online auditing class at UCLA extension (accredited school). Do I really need to enroll and finish an accounting program or I just need to take a few missing accounting classes for the CPA exam in NY?

    Please help. Thank you!

I would look at the NY state board of accountancy to see what accounting classes they require so that you are eligible to sit. That way you won't waste any extra money by taking classes that arn't on their list

    FAR: 63, 55, 62
    REG: 65, 77*
    AUD: Fail, 64, 71
    BEC: 72, 74, 81

Yeah, you should check with your state board, but honestly if you will need more classes to get your license you might as well enroll anyway.

    Florida CPA!
    Took final exam 2/25/15.
    Sent in Application 3/12/15.
    Issued License 3/20/15.
Used CPA Excel solely for all exams.
