Skynet, do any of your clients take you seriously? or better yet, do you provide serious advice? or just entertainment? are you even an accountant, or a comedian who found a niche website with a bunch of type A nerds who encourage your sense of humor?

Awesome article, thank you for sharing. I hope to one day have a business advising people so this article provided insight that I haven't really considered.

And @Lari Sa, I wouldn't even care if Skynet was a mechanic who works only on Ford Mustangs because he likes horses (and because he thinks that Megan Fox likes Mustangs…or horses). He's one of the very few around here that bring humor to the hell that is the CPA exam and (as exampled here) adds some good insight.

I agree with the article – when I was in public in a small-town firm, our clients relied on us for all types of advice and service. It definitely didn't stop with accounting!

@Lari Sa – The article stresses that accountants are not only just your standard book keepers and tax preparers which tends to be stereotypical often to nonaccountants. Accountants have a multiple areas of opportunities to tap into to provide value and services to the clients which could be beneficial for both should not be overlooked.
