I interviewed with 2 firms. The first one is the one I prefer because of the scope of work and the culture. The second one is more geared towards government and non profits.

The HR rep from the first firm called me Friday and said that they will likely make me an offer, but interviewing is taking longer than expected. She asked me to call if I got an offer in the meantime.

The second firm I interviewed at on Saturday. They said they would not make their decision until November, but the managing partner emailed me yesterday to find out my availability and today she said they made a decision sooner than expected and offered me a decision.

I really want to work for the first firm. I need to call. What should I say? I don’t want to look desperate, but I want to make sure they know I am VERY interested in working there.

Also, I have never done this whole offer acceptance thing before … is there any specifics that I should look for? This current offer says that PTO accrues each pay period, but it doesn’t say how many days for hours …
