I have been studying for FAR found almost 9 months now because my studies got stopped once my son was born. I have read the material 2 times using CPA Excel and still do not feel prepared. Should i just focus on MCQ right now and knock out as many as possible or take a practice exam and see where i stand? Any advice would help.

    FAR - Passed 4/2016
    AUD - Passed 11/2015
    REG - ?
    BEC - 05/28/2016

Really depends on your study schedule. I would study 3 hours a day and go over 80-100 questions a day depending on the topic. I would make sure to understand the answers and work out each question even if I had the MCQ memorized.

I think it depends on your study style. I have failed test where I went over 3k in questions. All I did was answer as many as I could a day. It didn't work for me. I have passed test where I answerd 1200 questions. About 40 a day but I basically re wrote the entire answer explanation if I didn't understand it.

6 weeks is a lot of time!! You have time to re read all chapters again. I personally did 100 mcqs every day.

Personally I used NINJA and did over 4,000 MC. There wasn't more than 1 or 2 questions on the exam that I wasn't at least familiar with. Hands down the best/most cost efficient test bank you can go with.

    REG - 82
    AUD - 97
    BEC - 81
    FAR - 84
    DONE!

For FAR especially, you will never feel prepared. There is just so much material. Just pick a day, put in the work, and go in and take the thing.

Another vote for Ninja Audio. Listen to it whenever you drive. SOOOOOOO helpful.

Something I did to make efficient use of MCQ time was use my resources instead of guessing. Guessing reinforces wrong answers. Looking it up if I didn't know how to go about it reinforces the material and the correct answers. I needed my resources less and less the closer I got to test day. I also did each question then looked at the correct answer one at a time, rather than doing a bunch and then looking them up. It was always focused on the material and the correct answers. The most MCQs I did for any test was FAR at about 1300. I also practiced the sims. It gets you thinking what kind of things could appear on sims on test day.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)
