Hi all! I have officially hit the wall. Started re studying for FAR 12/8/13 was scheduled for 1/11 and cancelled. Rescheduled to 2/3/14 and cancelled. I jumped into 2/ 4/14 REG and knocked out 5 chapters in a week, scheduled for 1/21/14 and just cancelled. I am terrified of failing a section now. Anyone else have a similar situation? How do I get over this dumb fear besides to keep telling myself it’s just an exam?

Well, you've got a week and you'll (potentially) have to pay to reschedule. Take a crack at one of them and as mentioned above, get ready for April 1!

    REG- (1) 76
    FAR- (2) 64, (5)74, (7)83 (Over achiever!)
    AUD- (3) 70, (4) 75
    BEC- (6) 75

I am proof positive that failure won't actually kill you contrary to popular opinion. 🙂

Pick a date, make the most of your study time and show up 30 minutes early. Before testing, take a deep breath, remember that you can and will pass, trust that you know more than you think you know and KILL that sum beach. Don't let the fear mess with your mind and make you waiver. If you have already passed two exams… You can pass all four.

    You got this! Good luck!

I understand the anxiety towards the whole situation, because let's face it, that's what it is. The best way to deal with anxiety is to put yourself in the situation, what you're doing is building your anxiety at this part. you cancelling is just gonna make it worse, almost everyone fails at least one section, so you won't be in bad company because most of those people are now CPAs

Just prepare as best as you can and cannon ball in there. I took AUD thinking I was well prepared and got a 73. It hurt, but taking the exam opened my eyes to my weaknesses. I thought I was solid, but was easily tripped up on reporting and SIMs were all over the place, so I felt like practicing SIMS was a waste of time. So, I retook it the first week of the next window. Kept redoing MCQ's in all areas to keep it fresh. Re-read all the terminology in the audit reports and got an 80. So, even failing can be beneficial to realizing how to better use your study time. Good luck!
