AnonymousInactiveHi all! I have officially hit the wall. Started re studying for FAR 12/8/13 was scheduled for 1/11 and cancelled. Rescheduled to 2/3/14 and cancelled. I jumped into 2/ 4/14 REG and knocked out 5 chapters in a week, scheduled for 1/21/14 and just cancelled. I am terrified of failing a section now. Anyone else have a similar situation? How do I get over this dumb fear besides to keep telling myself it’s just an exam?

Study MonkMemberI don't see why you moved from FAR? You probably could of knocked out FAR on the 28th:(
I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:
"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

AnonymousInactiveWell I failed far the first time around with a 73 so the idea of retaking and failing it by a wider margin makes me want to throw up haha I know I am a complete chicken and should have just taken it. I didn't want to waste the window so I jumped into reg which is my strong section and lo and behold. I wasted the window! I could have passed one or both of these parts this window but I'm truly afraid. I'll hopefully knock them out in the 3rd quarter and be done but first score will expire in 2015 so that makes me feel a little better 🙂

AmayMemberThe 18 month window goes by faster than you think. Life is what happens when you are busy making plans…so get to it! No excuses! The worst that could happen is that you fail and you take it again right away…no point in being afraid…it's just a test and you can PASS it if you work really hard for it! 🙂
BEC: 73, 81
AUD: 85
FAR: 71, 77
REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

Study MonkMemberI am afraid of my audit exam not because I won't be prepared, but because I am afraid of failing when I considered myself prepared. So I kind of understand. The main difference is I am going to go to my exam. You just need to hold yourself accountable for at least taking one exam per window.

If you hit an Oak tree thousand times in different spots, what's going to happen? Absolutely nothing. But if you hit an Oak tree thousand times in the exact same spot, you know what's going to happen? You will bring it down!
The frustration and fear stinks! Remember, you aren't alone in this journey.
SO, pick one REG or FAR and knock it down then tackle the last one! Next window, take REG the first day of April and FAR at the end of May. You got this, you've proven you can pass because you are half way there.

tomq04ParticipantWell, you've got a week and you'll (potentially) have to pay to reschedule. Take a crack at one of them and as mentioned above, get ready for April 1!
REG- (1) 76
FAR- (2) 64, (5)74, (7)83 (Over achiever!)
AUD- (3) 70, (4) 75
BEC- (6) 75 -
