29 Days Until FAR, how would you use them?

I have FAR in 29 days and just completed all of my Roger videos with what I would call scratch notes. Started studying about 4-5 weeks ago. I have a decent understanding of the concepts but still a lot of work to do. Was planning to spend the next week writing review quality notes using my resources. I have the 10 point combo and Roger as my resources. This is my first exam and i’m still trying to figure out how I best retain information. Have done very little MCQ so far, probably less than 150. Seems like I have adequate time but it did take a LONG time to slug through all those videos and i’m feeling the pressure coming.

    Thanks!

MCQs MCQs and MCQs! I did only MCQs during the 3 weeks preceding my FAR exam and got 94 😀
My routine was doing 5 sets of 30 MCQs per day!

@UnderwoodXI what were your averages like when you got to the exam? I'm on the review process and have 2 weeks from sitting for my retake, and I'm scoring TERRIBLY in my Ninja MCQs. I have to go back to my Roger MCQs every so often just so I don't completely crush my confidence. Haha

Who would have thought that writing 20 pages of notes could be fun but it sort of was today after spending weeks watching the videos. Material definitely retained better with pen and paper for me.

Someday and Underwood, on your MCQ “sets” do you typically do random selection or target certain sections? Perhaps a combination of both?

@Herd1101 that's so funny you mention your notes, but I was actually thinking about re-writing some Ninja notes tonight and taking a break on the MCQs until tomorrow morning – just to mix things up a little bit.

With regards to your questions about what I do on my sets; maybe that's part of my problem… What I would normally do on all the other sections was filter down to sections with an average of below 80 or 85%, and work to improve those one by one. With FAR, it's practically every single section below that average, so I feel overwhelmed and don't know if I should focus on bringing individual sections up or jump straight into random sets in hopes that just seeing everything will benefit me, come exam day. Today I spent my time doing more focused sets on trouble areas, but they're still feeling like trouble areas tonight. =/

Since we're on the topic of FAR, I was wondering about roughly what % of the exam questions are actual calculations. I'm using Gleim and its seems like around 85-90% of the MCQs that I've done are calculations. I don't have any problem with the MCQs that are simply question and answer but I'm only answering around 50-60% of the calculations correctly. Along with this, the calculations TAKE TIME which worries me that I won't have enough time on the exam. I'm only working through the material for the first time and I plan on using the final week or two before my exam to hammer down the calculations but it would help settle my mind knowing that the Gleim MCQs have more calculations than the exam itself.

This may sound like a silly question but could anyone who has taken FAR in the past provide insight on this?

    Thanks!
