I really want and feel the need to sit for REG (retake for failure – see signature) and AUD (lost credit) in quarter 1 so that just in case (god please forbid) I fail one, I can retake in the 2nd quarter before I again lose credit for another section.

This will be my 3rd retake of REG in a row. I’m afraid I’ll spend too much time studying for REG and not have enough time to re-establish my AUD knowledge. Currently, I work full-time (weekdays only) and part-time weekends (I am able to practice MCQs during my part-time job on my phone). I’m exhausted, but it’s time to knock REG out of sight and put this journey to it’s end!

I’ve been debating on the idea of studying for REG on set days of the week and then AUD on off days. Sometimes I feel like maybe I’m not giving myself enough time for the REG concepts to really sink in and maybe a break from the topic will help me start to get it. Or maybe study for REG at night and AUD in the morning.

Any thoughts? I know people are typically against studying for two sections at the same exact time. But I might go insane if I study REG again for another month (probably closer to 1.5 months) straight.

    BEC - 80
    AUD - 64, 75 - credit lost, 90!!
    REG - 73, 74, 83
    FAR - 61, 72, 85

Feels good finishing on my best note. Time to watch the mailbox.

I think I read somewhere on Roger's site a study planner for two test in one window. Sorry to hear about Reg, you're almost there….keep going. If you pass aud once you'll probably pass again. Pass reg so it won't continue to aggravate you. Hey and good luck, study hard.

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass

Pandarama, I don't think studying for two sections (not to mention mixing them up like you've described) would work for me, I would have a mess of facts and rules in my head on the test day. However, I did take and pass two sections in one window while working full time – it's very doable. I've studied for AUD in November-December and took it in the first week of January, and then REG mid-February. You might want to consider doing something similar.

    AUD - passed
    REG - passed
    BEC - passed
    FAR - passed

I just recently was in same situation as you. I had lost credit to BEC and had failed FAR 4 times… things were bleak to say the least.

My boss encouraged me to give it one more shot. So, I studied for BEC for 4 weeks (Aug. 31-Sept 30). Then I studied FAR from Oct 5 – Nov 3rd.

I passed both. If I had not I would be losing REG next week… so i understand your situation.

You can do it just study all this month and take your first exam within the first week of January. Then study the second section from January until February and take it before end of window.

    BEC - 66, 77 (3/14* expired), 82 (11/15)
    AUD - 58 (4/14), 76 (8/14)
    REG - 75 (6/14)
    FAR - 72 (11/14), 67 (1/15), 68 (5/15), 68 (7/15), 80!!!! (11/15)

@tncincy – Thank you. And you are right, I need to get REG out of here. This exam has definitely been the most soul crushing one for me yet. In the past when failed, I managed to bring my re-take grade up a substantial amount… but not for REG. That's almost as frustrating as losing credit because of it.

@Son – If I had even a quarter of the mnemonics for REG as I do for AUD, I would probably be more worried about mixing the two topics up. But at this point, I'm worried I'd be just trying to contain too much information at once.

@Marlya – My boss told me that I've passed in his mind since they never gave grades between 70-75 when he took it (supposedly lol).

Starting Dec 21, I'll be off from my full-time job for two weeks and intend on studying a large amount every day. This is another reason why I feel like I might end up burning out on REG by studying too much for it.

    BEC - 80
    AUD - 64, 75 - credit lost, 90!!
    REG - 73, 74, 83
    FAR - 61, 72, 85

You shouldn't need more than 6 weeks for either of them (I don't think?), so consider sitting for one of them early-mid January and jump right into studying for the other and sit at the end of February. That gives you a shot at both exams in Q2 if you fail one or both. I did that for BEC and REG and it worked out. You're close on REG – maybe get a new test bank or some fresh materials to help you. If you absolutely cannot stand it anymore, maybe switch to AUD, knock that one out, and then go back to REG with a fresh mind.

I'd be more a fan of studying 1 and then the other for taking 2 tests in the same window. If you don't think you can stomach studying REG again right now, then maybe study AUD next and REG after AUD?

@Pandarama My boss told me something similar, he said no one failed by a few points because if you were that close the examiners would go back “and find a few extra points” by reviewing scratch paper and the test manually. He passed all four first try with perfect 75's.

    BEC - 66, 77 (3/14* expired), 82 (11/15)
    AUD - 58 (4/14), 76 (8/14)
    REG - 75 (6/14)
    FAR - 72 (11/14), 67 (1/15), 68 (5/15), 68 (7/15), 80!!!! (11/15)

This sounds about as exciting as 2 girls 1 cup.

jk it's totally doable and probably worth it for peace of mind. Good luck you are so close!
