    Hey everyone,

Just wondering what types of additional accreditation’s or certifications you have heard of or pursued while earning your 150 credit hour requirements to be a CPA.

My current situation is that I need 18 more credit hours, I already have the required accounting credits, I am uninterested in the MSA or MST, my company has a tuition reimbursement program in order to get the credits I need, and I would prefer to do online classes.

    Some recommendations from co-workers:

    – online programs (University of Phoenix or DeVry), just to get credits.

    – online classes to earn a GED teaching license/certificate.

    – MSA or MST

Looking to hear what you would recommend or if there is anything interesting that you have heard in your past experiences.

    Thanks

Funny I have exactly 18 units left as well. I am taking random GE classes I never took for my undergrad all online at a local community college this fall. Totally useless to stress while working full time.

I did an online MBA through American Public University. It was fairly cheap for grad school and I didn't have to take any entrance exam (bonus!). I did the full masters, with a concentration in accounting, including 3 additional courses I needed to begin since my UG technically wasn't business, in a year and a half. The classes are like 8 weeks long, I think?

Anyway, they have different programs you could check out if you're interested. I enjoyed the program.
