Hello everyone…I’ll try to make this post as short as possible.
I am currently 29 years old and graduated about 4 years ago with a bachelors in business (concentration in accounting).
After graduating, I started working in a different field and have been with the same company ever since. I am not too happy with my current job situation and thinking about changing career paths…
I had a dream last night I became a CPA (I know haha…a dream has brought me to this website!) so now I’m entertaining the idea, but I have no clue if I’m being realistic or if I’m completely over my head…
I have 0 work experience in the accounting field… and as it stands today, I have 0 knowledge as well. I completely forgot everything I knew, and I always sort of got by my classes when I was in school. Being completely honest with myself, I have no basic foundation of accounting principles…
Am I completely nuts to think, to even consider, going for the CPA certification? If I am not totally crazy…where should I even begin? I feel extremely overwhelmed…
Thanks in advance for any input
