    you start spewing off the rules for 504, 505 and 506 all because you’re behind a bus with the number 501… yes that was me today.

    Can NOT wait to get REG over and done with!

    When you consider going to law school after the CPA just because you answered a few Wiley questions correctly πŸ˜€

    LOL exaclty my thoughts during studying for BLaw. More than 10 MCQs correct in a row and I'd think: “Dang I should've been a lawyer!”

    LOL it's the best when you tell your law school friends too. “MY exam covers ALL of business concepts from econ to finance to marketing as well as accounting and law. You just have law.”

    The whole time my face is like Obama's to the left.

    Kidding of course…

    I was in the car the other day with the hubby, think he said something about how the other driver was blind, and I said, well then they can get a higher tax deduction for being blind…or old! I think REG has taken over every corner of my brain.

    After looking over tort liability/negligence my mind immediately jumped to this:

    I think I need some time away from this. October 5 better bring me some peace =)

    FAR -> 76
    AUD -> 74...Revenge 2/16/13
    REG -> 83
    BEC -> 75

    Honestly, I thought studying for REG would be better than FAR since it was about only half the content of FAR… but REG is just so much more detailed. I'm in the middle of my final review week and my head is spinning.

    But yeah, I find myself relating law and tax concepts to people who don't know or don't care. A week ago I was talking about political candidate tax returns and effective tax rates and it rabbit trailed into my discussing the foreign earned income exclusion… my friend was like… that's way more detail than I ever need to know.

    FAR: Passed
    REG: Passed
    BEC: Passed
    AUD: Passed

    I got a better one than the one I last mentioned… you know you're studying too much for REG when you get a big envelope from the IRS addressed to a former a resident and you're first thought is: “I wonder if this is about an audit?” Of course then your mind starts spinning… is this a 30 day notice? 90 day notice? Are they assessing failure to file or pay penalties? Or maybe this is about a partnership or not for profit return?

    And yes… I immediately marked it “Return to Sender” and dropped it off in the outgoing mailbox.

    FAR: Passed
    REG: Passed
    BEC: Passed
    AUD: Passed

    . . . when you start trying to find tax breaks for all of your friends and relatives. I've got several people that have sole proprietorships and I keep thinking, “Do they know about the Keogh Plans?” Every piece of individual taxation regulation I have tried to tag with a person that I know.
