I am currently studying REG using Yaeger. I noticed that Phil assigns very limited amount of multiple choice questions. I was wondering for those who had studied with Phil and took the exam, do you feel that is adequate? Should I supplement with more questions than what he advises?

Those are the absolute minimum. I recommend doing those and then moving to the Wiley software.

A lot of people said they listened to Phil and only did the assigned questions and they did rather well. Some even got in the 90s by just doing Phil's question, no more, no less. I am doing additional questions from the Wiley software because I've done all of Phil's questions over 3 times already and I need to make sure I'm not subconsciously memorizing answers.

Thanks guys! I took only 2 weeks to study for FAR and I think I did more questions for even the topics that weren't likely going to be tested so I'm a little cynic.

This time having essentially 6 weeks before REG makes me feel that I should do whatever it takes to guaranteed I pass.

I did Phil's assigned questions and itentified software questions that were similar and did those. That's really all it took!

After taking REG, I can safely say….. DEFINITELY do additional questions. In fact, invest in the Gleim software and do tons of practice questions until you feel sick. I wish I would've bought the software, but Phil swore by his “only do my questions” statement, so I decided to skip it and now, I regret it. I'm sure Phil had good intentions, but trust me, there are so many left field questions on this exam. The more practice you get, the better. Buy the Gleim software and practice practice practice!!!

I did, but I used the Wiley software and found them too easy. Based on my experience with FAR and AUD, Gleim has some really challenging questions, so I highly recommend that software. It's $50 per part, but it's worth it!! If I fail REG, I'm definitely buying the software.

Watch out for ‘CPA Exam' questions are not within the scope of the CPA Exam in my opinion – i.e. Enrolled Agent tax questions.
