Thanks @futuremdcpa . . . I am definitely a knucklehead. No doubt about it. I don't know what's wrong with me. I think my confidence took a major blow last time around. Also, in a sick sad way I feel like I have nothing to lose. I haven't passed any sections so nothing is going to expire. All around I have been feeling glass half empty for some time now. I'm feeling pretty comfortable with the material which can also be deceiving.

I really felt like my 74 would be a pass. I'm feeling today like Monday will be a no pass day for me. I'm not sure why, just gut instinct. I'm not feeling nervous. Just not feeling right about everything.

My husband will be away over the weekend, I plan to do the best cram session I can muster in 48 hours. Picking up some frozen pizza on the way home so I don't have to go out. I figure I will read my notes (again) and do MCPs, maybe throw in some tax SIMs for the heck of it?

Good luck to the rest of you testing next week

You guys shouldn't be losing confidence and hope at this time around. Cmon man, we all have problems. The best way to deal with adversity is to face it with confidence. CPA is hard, but I know I'm working hard, and I will pass it.

Yup.. I agree with Manuelo.. Also I keep telling my self that I know so many .. ‘idiots' who have a CPA license.. If they can do it, why cant we? CPA isn't impossible.. if it was no one would be a CPA! Yet there are so many CPA's out there. All we have to do is put in the time to really study everything.. In college I would read the accounting chapters before every exam TWICE, and do all the homework's.. I ended up getting 98% – 100% on individual tax, the highest grades on all 3 exams for tax. For corp tax, it was much harder for me, but you know what? I kept at it. I would always stay after class go to the library and read the chapter once, do the hw once. When exam time came rolling around, I read everything AGAIN, and it took me 1/5th time to read it the second time because I already knew the majority of it. Again I ended up with an A in corp tax. For intermediate 1, 2 and cost? Same thing.. A's in all. In high school I had a 2.x GPA. And I never did anything, except start trouble. I took college much more seriously, and it really paid off. I interviewed with the US Gov't & Big 4, and all were impressed with my grades. I worked for the US Govt for little under a year, and quit in my senior year when I received a big 4 offer.

Point is – NOTHING is impossible. Don't try to rush through everything, and say OH i know this question let me skip it. NO. Even if you memorize the question & answers from doing it more then once, what you need to do is say okay I memorized the answer, but what is the formula/process to do this? And DO IT on a piece of paper.

I don't want to take this exam more then one time each part, but if I have to you better believe im going to dedicate all my time to this exam. Do not feel unmotivated. YOU WILL BE A CPA. You need to be more positive. If you go through this process/life in general being negative, then nothing but negativity will come after you. Switch it up to speaking positive about yourself, and you'll find that a lot of positive stuff comes your way. Its about how you feel about yourself.

@bluegirl – I know you can do it, you have to tell yourself that “YES I CAN DO THIS” 74 is pretty close. I think If I see my score a 74 I'd lose all motivation.. I would be wondering maybe if I answered another MCQ right, or maybe one more number on a SIM and I would receive a 75.. but hey, we cant live our life doubting our-self, and second guessing each thing we do. POUND OUT THOSE MCQ's and you should be fine. I took about 4 hours to read R1-R4(only the tax in R4). This was after doing the MCQ's two to three times. I have about 6 days left. I did all the Wiley MCQ's and SIMS dealing with tax once. I plan on doing them again, and will do business law & ethics (R5-R8) tomorrowish.

Good luck to everyone, and remember WE WILL CONQUER THIS EXAM!

Thanks again @futuremdcpa for telling me off. No one else is doing it – I appreciate the tough love! I have been having work issues, which means that I feel distracted, stressed, depressed and tired. The only reason I'm doing this is for myself. My friends & family think I'm putting in way too much time & effort, I won't get any glory or $ at work – so this is only for me.

But everyone has issues (some much bigger than mine) I am very aware that I just need to put my big girl pants on and get on with it!

This weekend I will definitely be turning off my phone, ordering take-out and focusing on what's important. Wiley and I will be getting uncomfortably real.

@bluegirl – That sounds like a good plan! def. turn off your phone.. honestly I just wasted about 5 hours today by texting and fb'ing.. its really bad .. but its alright I am going to do nothing but non stop MCQ/SIMS! I am freaking out about sims though.. I heard NOTHING prepares you for them… I dont know what to do about them!

We will overcome this battle! 🙂

With my test being on Monday, today should be crunch time (and it is so far). I'm doing quizes and reading all my flashcards and I'll take a practice exam this afternoon. But man, this is my last exam and I'm so excited I can hardly sit still, which is not so good for my studying lol. Eek, I can't imagine what it will be like to have normal again come Monday (so long as I pass)!!

    FAR - 82
    BEC - 77
    AUD - 79
    REG - 81

the SIMs for the actual exam are significantly more difficult than anything ive seen in becker or wiley. Its best to just skip them and continue hammering down mcqs

Good point, I did just the multiple-choice questions on the second one because I ran out of patience. Got 79, 79, and 75 on the multiple-choice testlets on the second exam. Gonna take a few hour break and then back at it!

Jeese futureCPA, 150 questions in 8 hours is bad? It ain't good, but it ain't bad. But at a good pace I can do 72 questions in a little over 2 hours. I don't know how you can do that many when you are at the learning or even the review phase. Then again, people say I have a bubble dimension where turtle speed is fast for me. . .

I have REG on July 19 and am pretty sure I will have to reschedule. Irresponsibility, stupidity, and every bad quality a procrastinator has.
