I took Regulations last week and I thought it was very hard. I want to mentally prepare myself if I have to re take it. Does anyone know when the 1st wave of scores will be released. Thanks!

They stopped doing waves of score releases last year in December, now its pretty much all at the same time. The AICPA says the 3rd week of September so my guess is somewhere around the 21st or 22nd. But guessing the score release is about as much good as guessing the winning lottery numbers, we can only hope!

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

Becker just sent me an e-mail asking me to update my grade for an exam I took at the beginning of July. Way to salt the wounds of waiting — they know perfectly well that I will not have that score until September.

    REG -- October 3!!
    FAR -- Pass
    BEC -- Pass
    AUD -- Pass

the score release system for the CPA exams is the worst out of any professional license. The actuary exams literally tell you RIGHT AFTER YOU TOOK IT whether you passed or not. While this might make some people nervous while taking the test, it is really helpful in helping you prepare for what you want to do the next 6 months. Whats funny is that actuary exams don't expire and yet, CPA ones do. Doesn't it make sense to provide us with a timely score so we can plan our moves more efficiently?

Khachik2003, don't forget the CPA exam has some crazy scoring methods. You have at least 10 questions thrown out, each question has a difficulty rank, and the scores are curved. Can't exactly get that instantly. A percentage grade, sure, but the CPA exam grades aren't percentages.

    Aud 4/2/11 - 86
    Far 5/27/11 - 83
    Bec 7/1/11 - 82
    Reg 8/13/11 - 86! It's over!!!!

ExhausedCPA, I understand and it is still frustrating but if they are taking their time to figure out a curve that gets me a passing score then by all means 🙂

But you have to see the irony here…..one of the basic principals of accounting/auditing is timely information. HYSTERICAL to wait 12 weeks for a score even with all of the maneuvering that has to be done to come up with them.

Well if I had someone on the inside, the 49 and 56 never would have happened LOL!! No clue how I've cut it THAT close twice but I am not looking a gift horse in the mouth…..

Mla1169, the way I understand it is that this is a brand new testing format this year and that's why grades all taking so long to come out. They are compiling data. However, there is good news. Supposedly this is the last window that we have to wait this long! That doesn't help me now, though 🙂
