What makes REG sims so much harder than the other ones? - Page 3

    Not looking for illegal disclosure here, but what makes these SIMS so much harder than say FAR and AUD?

    I test Wednesday and all the hype has mostly been on the horrendous SIMS…

    I just passed REG and can tell you from experience that the SIMS are hard to prepare for. I completely bombed one of them, the rest were ok though.

    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
    AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

    I think it's difficult because the SIMS are going to ask for specific treatment of tax items. To me, it's not as conceptual as it is specific. It's not that way on the multiple choice, which i find more concept oriented.

    Just took the exam today. I have been avoiding A71 because reading posts here make me nervous. I am just hoping for a 75+!

    AUD - 7/5/13 - 93
    FAR - 8/24/13 - 91
    BEC - 11/30/13 - 92
    REG - 2/24/14 - 91! DONE!

    1) title 26 IRC isn't really well written. for example, go where it tells you how to calc the % of social security benefits you need to include in your gross income. it's a mess.

    2) the test's search engine really sucks.
