Not looking for illegal disclosure here, but what makes these SIMS so much harder than say FAR and AUD?

I test Wednesday and all the hype has mostly been on the horrendous SIMS…

You don't have to know the actual tax brackets for REG do you? I haven't taken yet, but would assume they would be provided for the different increments and filing statuses.

I am taking REG on Thursday. I actually did really well on the SIMS for the Final Exam 1 in Becker but they all seemed really simple.

A few people have told me not to practice the SIMS too much for REG because Becker doesn't really prepare you anyway. Most people recommend constantly doing progress tests.

Should I just follow that and worry about the SIMS on test day?

FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

Yeah I would have probably scored another 84 on FAR if it was not for the SIMs. I made a mistake by only alotting an hour for them.. make sure to give yourself another 20-30 minutes.

The good news is I am pretty sure I scored really well on the MCQs, missed the research SIM, left 2 SIMs 90% incomplete (did the first J/E on each), substantially missed a large part of one SIM, and was only confident on the remaining ones.

You probably won't crash & burn on the FAR SIMs like I did… but if you do, there is still hope if you know the MCQs!

I hate tax, the BLAW side of it isn't so bad, its just the stupid little nuances that go along with taxes, specifically basis that is making me worried. Any helpful tips to nail basis questions? I'm doing MCQs like crazy, but any extra tidbit is helpful.
