Well whatever you want to call it, 2012 or 2013, don't you think it would be 13K now and 14K in July? I took it in April and went by 13K.

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

@CPAsoon. Mike is right. We have to know the 2013 code for May31 2014 exam and 2014 code starting July 2014 exam.

I was in the same confusion as you since Wiley 2013 books was giving 2012 exemptions.

I went out and bought Wiley 2014 CPA excel Exam Review Study Guide for regulation. It has all the 2013 code in it. The name of the Wiley book has changed to show CPAexcel because of their recent tie up. $60 approx price.

My plan is to to have both books open while reviewing and whenever there is a limit compare it to see if anything changed. Checking on the internet will waste a lot of time.

The following has changed that I know off. IRA went up to 5500, exemption went up to 3900 ; Gift tax up to 14000. Sec 179 changed. Medical exemption went up to 10% for people under 65.. standard deduction went up; also for blind and age 65.God knows what else. :

Best bet is to buy the new book and compare it to old one as you go through your old book.

After May 31 2914..we will need the Wiley book 2015 because that one has the law for 2014.

The issue is the books for example that is labeled 2013 has code for 2012 because code for 2012 is good till May 31 2013. 2013 book is not good from July 2013 exam.

Taking Reg on 30th May. God bless me.

I know I am was in panic mode yesterday too.

Most of the exemptions/phaseouts/deductions you need to know for exam day are right there in the ninja notes. I would not invest time memorizing tables and all sorts of phaseouts.

It blows my mind that the review course don't mention anything about this issue on their website. You mentioned the 2015 Wiley, is that even out lol, ridiculous. That means I wasted easy points last attempt.

2015 Wiley is not out yet. I mentioned it to clear the point. I would go with Jeff's advice .. Ninja Notes.

Don't worry about what points you missed. Just keep going, keep going forward.
