As usual I didn’t plan very effectively. I wanted to leave two weeks to review as I have taken intense notes I would like to type up as well as correlate them with my NINJA notes. I currently have securities, CPA legal liability, business structures and other topic left to read, do notes and take the MCQ.

I am kind of thinking about just getting what I can from the Becker flash cards as notes, doing the MCQ and moving on so I can have a solid final review.

What do you guys think is more important? During my review I will be typing notes, doing MCQ and identifying my weaknesses. I just don’t want to come to find I have a bunch of weaknesses in major areas a few days before the exam….

I'm with you… I take REG next Friday (May 18) and I just now finished R7 and still have R8 to do. I have never given myself more than a week for my final review and have passed the other three this way. During that week I hammer my weak areas, do as many progress tests as I can, work the AICPA released questions, make any note cards/shower sheets/mirror note cards with stuff I am struggling with, rework any of the sims with good content, and take two Becker practice exams. I try to take the second practice exam two days before the real exam so that I don't have to do it the day before. However, I did take my last practice final the day before the real exam for BEC and AUD but I would not recommend doing this because it is a huge motivational killer.

I also make a list of topics I need to review throughout my all my studying so I can save them for this week. Usually it is stuff I am not comfortable with or is easy but I just need to memorize a formula or mnemonic.

Thanks for making me feel a little better. I'm finishing R7 today and hope to finish R8 tonight, then pounding out mcqs by mid week. Do you work as well? I'm in the middle of interim audits so im working 48-50 hours a week and traveling at least 2 hours everyday. I'm really counting on retyping my notes, so hopefully that allows for enough time to get solid. I'm ready for a passing grade, damn it.

Well I have a bit of an advantage over you because I just graduated the other day and I don't start my job until July. I have only been studying for this exam this semester and it has worked out pretty well. I can't imagine trying to study for this thing if I was working. Everyone has told me to get it over with before I begin work so I have taken their advice!
