Just finished REG. Wasn’t too bad, but there was a lot I wasn’t 100% sure on and the test exposed almost every weakness I had. Like FAR, I was coasting until I hit the SIMS and BAM!!! I feel like I failed just based on the SIMS even though I was able to complete all of them.

I did pass FAR even though I didn’t even finish the SIMS, so maybe there is hope for me.

    chris….

You never know with these exams… it depends on the difficulty of the question and how good other candidates did as compared to you… And some other funky math that they come up with to determine your score…. SIMS were the reason i had 2 previous 74's on regulation , before passing it with a 78… hang in there and move on to next part.

Thanks mjt, you have me scared with that 74 talk of yours. How bad did you think that you did on the first couple of exams on the SIMS as compared to the real score? And when you got a 78, how well did you actually do on the SIMS?

In all honesty, it all depends on what 6 sims tab you get on the exam day… I am not saying it is luck, but on the two 74's, my sims were manageable, not that bad…but my preparation was not deep enough to tackle the simulations. 3rd time when i got my 78 , i was lucky to have 2 tabs on my sims that i studied inside/out to prepare me for multiple choice questions….Also, public accounting people were busy, so that helped my cause too, not many people were taking the exam:)_… You will be just fine, hang in there…

Good call, I think I was wise to take it during tax season.
