I haven’t taken REG yet but I’ve seen the report cards for those who have passed and this is the key to passing REG

-for the MCQ, be strong on a major topic (individual tax, corp tax, partnership tax, etc. basically anything that is 15-20% of the test). It’s okay to be weaker on everything else but you must be strong in one area

-be comparable on the SIMs. This is a must.

this should enough to squeeze out a 76+ on the test.

I have a stronger report than that was weak on sims and federal and still failed so this theory means nothing…..

when you say major topic it looks like you mean get stronger on one of the ones listed.

You failed because while you might have been stronger in one or more of those areas, you were weak on sims and that's part two of my theory. You need to do both things, not only one.

Basically what I am trying to get at is that you need to do only two things to pass: be comparable on SIMs and strong in a major topic. You can be weaker on everything else and still pass with a 75.
