I have taken 3 practice tests and have been getting higher scores on already strong sections and lower scores on the already low scoring sections. After each test I have taken more multiple choice and re-reading my notes and the ninja notes on the 3 sections I am doing bad on and still am making worse scores. I am starting to panic. My most recent practice test results are below:

R1: Individual Tax – Income 90%

R2: Individual – Adjustments 84%

R3: C & S Corp 56%

R4: Partnership, Estate & Gift 92%

R5: Contracts and Sales 75%

R6: Commercial Paper 57%

R7: Agency, Bankruptcy, Securities, CPA 53%

Total 72%

What else can I do to bump up the 50% sections? I am totally freaking out!!

@akb9874- I got a 74 because they gave me the easiest test possible and I blew it because I freaked out on the Sims. I doubt my next exam would be as easy as my previous one.

I am not really sure. I thought I did understand but I guess I am just getting confused on all of the different rules. The life insurance garbage drives me insane and the AMT crap sucks too. I also get confused on gains and losses on like kind exchange and non-like kind exchange. I feel like maybe everything…Getting discouraged…God bless anyone that understands taxes!

Do you have Jeff's Reg NINJA notes? Those might really help. Also are you understanding the explanation when you get an answer wrong?

I do have the ninja notes and I have read them and taken notes on some key things that I didn't know or remember.

On MCQ, I do understand why I am getting them wrong and I write down what the correct explanation is if I didn't get it right or if my reasoning for that answer isn't right. I am not as worried about R6 & 7 because I haven't hammered those like I have the other but I am really concerned about R3. I am not sure what my deal is with that section.

My game plan is for tonight is to hammer hard on R6 and 7 and make sure I understand and remember that.

Tomorrow I will be at the airport and plan on spending the wait time and flight just hammering hard on the R3 and then Friday night take another practice test and see how I do at that point and then just pray hard.

I'm not sure what else to do at this point. Thanks for the encouragement though! It is always helpful. Better believe I will be emailing you tomorrow if I get confused or stressed 🙂 You're awesome-sauce!
