Tax Season and Studying

    My plan A failed. I’m looking for some Plan B advice. I am taking online Becker classes thru my college. The first class was REG scheduled Jan 2 – March 17. I had planned to work ahead and test at the end of Feb to avoid studying while working crazy hours. I completed all lectures and 100% homework questions. I had just started to review and had to cancel my exam on 02/26 due to getting sick. Since March was closed. I felt screwed. Rescheduled for April 1,

    As April 1 approaches, I am getting nervous. I’m mentally exhausted from working 60+ hours a week and taking care of my family. The next section of Becker is March 25 – June 9 for the FAR section. My inital plan was to test the last week of May. The college schedule always ends in a black month.

    Do I reschedule again for sometime after tax season? I felt confident on the tax portion. I was able to blow thru most of it. Business law is where I feel weak.

    I guess my options are going on April 1. Or taking FAR at the end of May. Using June to review for REG and testing on July 1. July feels so far again as far as remembering everything.

    Any advice is helpful….now back to work for me 🙂

    @Caddygirl7,

    I know how you feel. I would reschedule the test, set the study schedule, then study. Give yourself the best chance to pass the test, don't get caught up in the date of the test. That's what I did. We all want to get this over with as quickly as possible but don't throw yourself under the bus. Gve yourself a chance to pass. Good luck ;-))

    It begins with a 75
    Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass

    Yah, I agree. Blaw is 1/5 of the exam so try not to blow it off. Rescheduling is my best advice.

    BEC (11/17/12): 88
    AUD (1/18/13): 76
    REG (2/27/13): 88
    FAR (4/15/13): 90
