I thought I would create this new topic for those that are taking REG in the October/November testing window. I am taking this test on October 19. Anybody have any experience with this section?

The sims are definitely time consuming!

REG sims are the worst b/c you only have 3 hours to complete everything. Argh…having nightmares just thinking about them 🙂

You should be in Wave 1 barring a new simulation, which there's really no way to tell if you have one or not.

Hi all,

I moved my exam back one week to the 26th of October. The only chapter I have left in the Bisk book is Partnership Tax. After that, I plan on hitting the review really hard.

My next step is to try to decide which information warrants a hard review and which topics I should only glance at.

A new sim is just a sim that the AICPA hasn't used before…that's all…nothing else is different. It will bump you to Wave 2 though.

Anyone know approximately how what percentage test takers get a "new sim"?

I need some advice. I am currently working on REG with Wiley. Test scheduled on Nov. 30. I need to speed up, but I am not sure how thoroughly I shoud go over the business law parts. Any advice? (I am afraid I can't afford any DVD lecture… I am sorry for myself.)

The Yaeger REG cram is $194 with the discount…it comes with their B-Law handout, which makes it so that you don't have to read the book.

Took REG today. Simulations were as expected, impossible. I study with Becker and honestly don't even pay a second attention to their simulations. They are an absolute joke and don't help at all. Tried to concentrate on MC and improve my writing. Got a 74 on FARS and felt like it was because of writing…Think I did really well on the writing and although MC was tough I hope I did well. Simulations crushed me but I think I did the best I could.
