I thought I would create this new topic for those that are taking REG in the October/November testing window. I am taking this test on October 19. Anybody have any experience with this section?

One more day to my exam and I'm getting nervous about the SIM.

therb – there's really no way of knowing if the sim is brand new or not. So, being “task-based” doesn't necessarily mean it was new.

Does anyone know if there is another site that I can purchase Jeff's regulation notes from besides Paypal?

PP takes credit cards…you don't have to have a PP account I don't think.

I don't really sell my notes…they're just freebies for Club 75

For Becker students, can you tell me how u did on becker's final exams?

I worked one and my score wasn't very impressive.

    Should I be worried?

    Jeff,

Since BEC is out, when do you think REG will be released?

I think we'll see REG Friday via AICPA…Monday via NASBA

melp – don't let the Becker final exams scare you, they are meant to be harder than the actual exam. I think I only passed one! On average my masters class scored an average of 20 points higher on the actual exam.

Do we need to know exact amount for adjustments? For example, the adjustment for education loan expense is limited to 2500. Thanks.

    CC_CPA,

You need to know everything. Enough said.

No real point to this post other than to let other REG folks know they are not alone.

I'm doing my final “re-review” today and tomorrow – my exam is Monday at 7:30.

I'm just finding that I am burning out and making stupid mistakes and whatnot. Hopefully The Fates smile down on me and I can get through this thing on my first shot.

    Atrus,

Same with me. I am so tired of reading and re-doing questions I just don't even know what I should be concentrating on! But good luck on Monday. Mine is on the 27-Nov and I am freaking out already!

    Atrus & Stacy,

I felt the same way. I don't know where you are in your tests Stacy, but Atrus…it only gets worse. I could barely study for REG (my last section).

Atrus, my best advice is after looking at your exam schedule, and I don't know whether you're taking a break after REG, but don't take too much time to study for each section, especially AUD and BEC. Like a month for each. Also, I advise that you take the day before the exam off to let your brain rest. To keep your mind off of the exam, read a book or a magazine, whatever.

Good luck to both of you!
