Taking REG Halloween Morning, have a couple concerns.

I have a couple questions in regards to Becker for REG. I’m starting tomorrow, trying to do a “lecture” a day. For FAR, I stopped listening to the lectures around F8 and simply read the e-book, since it has all the annotations already done. I skipped F10 altogether, since I didn’t have time to go over it before the exam. During the exam, I didn’t find the testlets to be too difficult, and for any of the simulations I didn’t understand, I just looked up the answers in the FASB codification.

So I was wondering if this strategy would work from the get go for REG. Not depending on Garrity or Olinto’s audio, but just reading the ebook and maybe watching a corresponding lecture segment if a concept isn’t readily clear. Then the usual strategy of MCQ, simulations, flashcards, and progress tests.

Has any of you, that used Becker, ever tried a similar strategy?

Did you get your FAR score back yet? I'd be impressed if you passed with that strategy, but I guess to each his own. Testlets that don't really seem to get harder usually isn't a good sign either, although if you already found out you passed, that is moot.

Love your monicker! This exam does certain things to the body including occasional but expected panic attacks especially around score release times.

My recommendation (strong one) is to listen to all the lectures and take notes. Many times I thought I had gathered enough understanding from reading the text and upon listening explanation figured that I've missed some important points & twists. So, do yourself good, use purchased materials to the max.
