I’ve read a few places that 100 hrs. is enough to study for REG. With about 10 days left until my exam, I’m at about 150 hours already, and I’m sure I’ll be closer to 200 hrs. by exam day. I’ve passed AUD and BEC using my current study method, but I’m wondering if I should study smarter. Right now, I’m…
-1st, Using CPAExcel, watching videos for important topics and typing notes afterwards from the study text.
-2nd, After going through all sections, I start over and review my notes and take all the missed MCQs & SIMs for the section
-3rd, Re-type my notes
-4th, Take the Diagnostic exams in CPAExcel (basically, more MCQs)
-5th, Take the mock CPA exam
-In between all that, I’m listening to Ninja Audio whenever I can & making notecards for topics I’m shaky on.
Thoughts? It’s too late to switch it up for REG, but FAR (next exam) has so much more material…trying to think ahead.
AUD: 84 - Oct. 2013
BEC: 83 - Feb. 2014
REG: 91 - May, 2014
FAR: 68, 96 - Oct. 2014...DONECPAExcel, Ninja Audio (all sections)
