Skipping REG & AMT

Can anyone who took REG recently help me out. For some reason I cannot for the life of me remember the formulas for AMT, if I go into the exam knowing the basics of AMT but do not know the corporate AMT formula (Ace, Pre-ACE, etc.). Can you advise if I should spend time memorizing this formula or if I should be OK just knowing the basics?

    Thank you

I never fully understood AMT and I still passed. I would suggest trying to learn what you can, but don't focus the majority of your time on it, because it's just one part of the material. You might get 1 question on it; you might get 10; you might get 30; it's anyone's guess…but I'd try to only focus on it as much as its portion of the exam content breakout. (Like if it's 5% of the content breakout, then I wouldn't spend 30% of my study time on it!)

It would be smart to do your best to try and understand it. The problem with these tests is you never know how the topics will be tested. You could have no AMT questions or you could have several. I didn't really have a firm grasp on the topic, but I was still able to pass. Just do your best to memorize as much as you can about it! Good luck!

The ACE adjustment is what really gets me. Hate it. Just too much to remember in Reg. 3 more days for the exam….

    FAR - 81 29th Aug 2013
    AUD - 84
    REG - 82
    BEC - 89 29th Aug 2014
    Using Yager
