Should you do all of MCQ?

As you are doing over each module in Becker, should you do all of the MCQ? Some of the modules have a ton of MCQ per module, as many as 54, 74, and 133.

Cause I am thinking of using the first 4 weeks to go through the Becker lectures and only up to 20 MCQ per module. And then have a 3 and a half week review period. For the review period, I plan to do sets of Wiley Test Bank MCQ and see what my weak areas are and go over them in the Wiley textbook, and then rinse and repeat. And also do flash cards, Ninja Notes and Ninja Audio, and sims to the review period.

I started out doing all the book MCQ and SIMS in Wiley and it got to be too many. I now do 10-20 per section. I can usually tell if I'm getting the material or not by just doing those few. I can always go back and do more on the sections I'm not getting, but doing every single one, especially for topics I know I understand, takes away some valuable time I could spend on other sections. I plan to do all the MCQ and SIMS in the WTB at least once and 2-3 times for ones I've gotten wrong.

For every exam I've taken I've worked all of the HW MCQ before the exam. I have Becker. If it was a section that had 100s of questions, I just broke them up into 20-25 sections, then took a break and went back to it. They have more questions in areas that are more heavily tested, so I think the extra practice makes sense.

I recommend doing all the questions at least once, and work your way up to about 80-85% to feel comfortable.

    AUD - 01/18/14 - 81
    BEC - 05/29/14 - 85
    FAR - 07/18/14 - 81

Do as many as you can attempt AND review the ones you get wrong. Don't try to finish it all just for the sake of it if you rush through and don't get to review.

The sections that have more MCQs have more because you are more likely to see MCQs on the exam for that topic.

The sections that have 20 MCQs have only 20 MCQs because not as many questions have been released, because they represent a minority of CPA exam questions.

So I would say it's a mistake to skimp on the sections that have 100+ questions in Becker. Those are likely to be the most important sections on your real exam.

    REG - 94
    BEC - 92
    FAR - 92
    AUD - 99
