Hey all,

So here’s my situation. I have registered to take Reg in 11 days (April 25.) I have just really started going through the Becker information, just finished REG 2 in the book.

In the fall of 2016, I took Indiv. Tax and got a good grade in there. Cheat sheets were allowed on exams though. This semester while interning, I took Corporate Tax online. So in essence, I have already put in about 50-100 hours into the material in terms of exposure. Last week, I did about 20 hours of studying in terms of Becker and the Corporate Tax course. All of this is kind of review, except for the B-Law portion.

Is this exam a beast? Should I just reschedule it to May 1? Or later? I am studying full-time, no job at the moment. I am planning on studying 8 hours a day including weekends. Only thing I am doing is lifting, studying, and eating. Any feedback helps. Thanks.

Oh man, if you can get through the material as quickly as possible and leave yourself enough days to get to 2000 MCQs, I think you can do it. Hard if working full time, but if you have the next 11 days completely free you can do this. 14 hours per day for 11 days is 154 hours. A lot of people think thats a bad idea, but it's almost the exact schedule that ended up working for me on REG and FAR. Long-term studying like 3hr/day for 2 months resulted in me failing.

I agree Grey Worm, I don't do too good with long term studying. I do believe in giving enough time to study though. Why do you say 2000 mcq's, isn't that almost the whole test bank?

2000 just seemed to be the right number for me on REG. I think I made it to 1900 while averaging 72% on the Becker test bank, resulted in an 82. If I had to retake, Id do it the exact same again. 1 day each for reviewing each section's text (8 days), then 200 MCQs a day for the 9-10 days leading up to exam. 18 days total. But thats impossible if you have to work 9-5 M-F.

Sounds good. I am going to do it. I will keep you all posted on how I feel as I go through, so that if I don't feel good by 6 days before, I will reschedule for May. I can visualize myself studying for 10 hours a day, not 14. However, like I said, I have done a lot of this material over the past 4-5 months so it's not like it's brand new.
