    Hey Guys

    After failing REG for the second straight time somewhat close scores (70, 74), I wonder if I should buy a new course from Rogers

    I used Becker and supplemented with Wiley Test Bank previously but…..sigh…. Honestly I would say I was well-prepared for the exam but just really unfortune that I failed, I blame it on Business Law and Simulations.

    Just want to get some advice from you guys coz I have been thinking about switching to Rogers for this LAST section. If some of you used Rogers hopefully you can provide some experience using that to prepare for your REG exam.

    Are you using ninja notes….they are great…I am not a tax person and I spent three weeks studying for reg using nothing but ninja notes..no study questions or anything..and I work full time so its not like I spent everyday all day long studying…however I did study 2-3 hours a nigt and all day on weekends…i made a 73…I didn't manage my time well….the nina notes will help and would be a great supplement…good luck

    Have you tried the ninja notes or audio? I haven't tried the audio, but I have the notes for REG & FAR, and while I personally didn't get a whole lot of out the tax section of the REG notes (though other people seem to), the b-law section was so helpful at cutting through the insane wordiness of becker and really distilling the concepts. It would be difficult for me to stomach shelling out $700 for another review course, but if you are close to losing a section or something, that might make another course look more appealing. Sometimes I think this whole test prep course selection thing is the placebo effect. If you think it's going to help, it probably will.

    Roger is great I think. I really didn't put in a lot of time for REG and still managed to pass. He really does a great job focusing on the important stuff.

    @sandra

    How much time is “i really didnt put in a lot of time” for REG? I am doing becker and basically did it twice and got a 74. You got a 89. I am thinking that you might just be more of a tax person than I am, or just really smart by looking at our scores? lol…

    Becker has everything you need to pass. Are you unhappy with BECKER, your study habbits, or the randomness of the exam?

    If your weaknesses are business law and SIMS. And your only 1 point away AND you went up by 4 points with your last re-take, i think another redo with BECKER will give you the pass.

    But if you are unhappy with BECKER, or think that ROGER will motivate you to improve your study skills, and you have the money – go ahead and spend it.

    REG - Passed!!
    BEC - Passed
    FAR - Passed
    AUD - Passed

    Study Materials: Becker basic course
