    Hello,

I’ve been studying for reg for about 3 weeks now and I am scheduled to take it tomorrow evening.

I took both becker practice exams and I got an average of 70 between the three MC Testlets on each exam. I did not do the simulations.

I am going to work a couple of the simulated exams (100 MCs) and see how I do on them.

My question is….should I postpone or just go ahead and take it, based on my practice exam results.

Also what should I be aiming for on the simulated exam.

Thanks Any help would be great

    ugacpa2010,

Well if you went to UGA, you probably do need extra time to study. Just joking (I'm a Clemson girl).

Scoring 70 is pretty good considering the real exam is not as difficult as Becker. It all depends… is this your first exam or has the clock started ticking? Three weeks doesn't seem like that long, but if you are not working and devoted to studying, I guess it's possible. Do you feel comfortable with the material?

I think if you try to reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment, you may have to reapply for your NTS and pay the fees all over again. That would be lost time and money. You should check.

If I were making around 70% and had to repay the fees for a rescheduled appointment, I'd suck it up and take it tomorrow.

    Good luck!

I agree CPAWannabe. From what I understand, trying to cancel an exam within 24 hours will cause you to forfeit your fees and you will have to reapply for the NTS, so you might as well take it.

Aud- Pass, BEC- Pass, FAR- Pass, REG- Pass.... Done!

I haven't been working or anything else besides stuyding basically

I probably studied around 4-5 hrs/day and took like a 2-3 day break in between.

And this is my last exam…I took FARE july 1 and still waiting on that score….I'm pretty sure I failed it b/c I basically didn't do one of the simulations and the other simulations I had a lot of trouble with.

The reason why I'm so skeptical about REG is b/c of how much I was shocked by FARE….I feel like I know the material pretty well, just want to be sure.

On the two Becker practice test I got (75, 70. 66) and (66, 87, 58) on the three testlets.

And I called them, I have until 5 pm today b/c my test is 5 pm tomorrow I will just have to pay 75.

taking all that into consideration what do you think?

How good are you on writing communications? For me that was always an easy 10 points. If thats a strong point for you as well, then i think you are in a real good position to pass…

I say reschedule if you don't mind losing $75. Since you think you did not pass FAR, and go ahead and take REG tmrw and fail, you will have 2 to take in Q4…esp if you want to be done before the changes in 2011. Since you took 2-3 breaks between your studying, you could have lost vital tidbits of info that could be the difference between a 74 and a 75. My suggestion is to study your heart out for the next week or two, depending on when you can get an appt, and don't take breaks. Take breaks, but not for days, lol. Since it seems as if you don't have any commitments at this time, a solid 30-40 hour week could do a lot of benefit.

    Good luck 🙂

    REG 79 (Becker); BEC 63 (Becker) 70 (Yaeger); AUD 66 (Becker; 11/30 - Becker); FAR 11/24 (Yaeger/Wiley)
