I took REG last week and thought it was pretty difficult. I’ve been reading alot on here and the majority seems to have done well…Does this make the odds harder for me to pass?? why did i pick the period when everyone passes! 🙁

@dreambigCPA – I think the reviews are a little mixed. I fall into the “F***k REG” crowd. I took mine on Saturday and I'm not expecting to see a passing score next week. I'm praying that I'll squeak be with a 75 and that the accounting gods that be were smiling on me that day. At least we don't have to wait super long for our scores this time around…

I have no idea how I did on REG. It didn't seem as bad as most people on here claim….but you never know how they grade these things so I'm hoping for a 75!

Getting ready to take the REG portion again…question about the SIMS in general. Are the research sims worth less (weighted less) then the other SIMS within the Exam? I am trying to priortize my time as I ran out of time the last time I took it. So I am wondering if I should start with the research sim/s.

I would not say I did well, I just thought the exam was fair. Still very hard and could def see me taking it again. However I did finish the entire exam so my time management was good. That has not been the case on other exams.

Don't lose hope. I was 99.9% sure that I had failed… and I passed with my highest test score yet. You really don't know until you get your score.

Agree with Kandisjoy. Never know. I did not feel great about REG and I did well. Remember there are a bunch of pretest questions so you really never know how you did (well unless you aced it).

@kandisjoy & mandy, thanks for your input. I'm truly hoping that this will be the case for me. For once, I'm hoping that I'm being a drama queen blowing things out of proportion. I'm going to be cautiously optimistic while I wait. Hopefully the next 1 1/2 weeks will fly.

I agree with the previous posters. I just took REG this morning so everything is still pretty fresh in my head. MCQs did not have any problems finishing I think I had about 75 mins left before I started the sims. Couple random topics not covered by Becker or Wiley but thats to be expected and Im hoping they were pre-test.

Simulations, HAH wow completely different story. Very niche specific on the tabs that I received. I generally knew all the concepts that were tested but was confident with 3/6 (research included).2 of the more challenging tabs delved deeper into situations I had worked on before but never to this extent. I had ample time to use the authoritative research but it was rather pointless. Hoping for a strong MCQ performance and my weakest simulation tab being a pre-test. Either way I don't think I've ever left an exam feeling great but could see myself passing this one or not just as easy.

I didn't even finish – this is the first time I couldn't. I've taken and passed all the other three on the first try but REG just crushed and crumpled me up.

REG was the hardest to me, I like to save the easy for last, I am a tax person so I thought REG would be easy. But no… OMG, pretty sure I failed cause I ran out of time. Time is definitely an issue for me in REG. I had no time pressure in the other 3 sections.

Did you finish? I had to leave the last SIM blank even though I could have have done it (knew it) but simply ran out of time.

I just took REG today. i thought i could have done better…after i left exam place i knew that i got wrong with few questions even though i knew them. 🙁 i am hoping for 75 but might not be possible. i did everything except research tap(btw, how do i do research tap??) but doesn't mean i did well. i just guessed on something that i wasn't too sure. does anyone know when i would get my score?

I did not leave a sim blank, however, the last sims that I did was putting in zero zero zero zero, or totally random numbers with no reason. I consider that one as a blank one?? I put zero in cause zero is usually one of the answer for sims, however, just my guess, haha!! i could be completely wrong.

I had one SIM that was completely crazy. I had no idea what it was asking for and it had another tab with more information. I literally had NO CLUE what to put in the boxes. This question has to be the pretest because the other 5 were pretty straightforward. I ended up just guessing on that one because after reading it like 5 times I still had no idea what it was asking for LOL

I'm praying for a 75!
