I took Reg on Saturday and my test continuously froze up whenever I would search the literature in the simulation portion. I finished the test but found it extremely difficult not being able to search using the search function. Did anyone else experience this. The lady at prometrics said it was a “worldwide” issue. She gave me a number to call and ticket number, I personally think I should get at least the application fee that would seem fair. I have not called them.

Nope, no search lag issues. I did have issues with tabs taking forever to load, but I'm pretty sure everyone had that problem.

Any advice on how you studied differently for REG the 3rd time to pass? I am studying for my 3rd attempt after a 71,72.

For my third attempt, I did every CPAexcel study section ON TIME. I got behind schedule the first time I took REG and I really believe that is why I failed. The second REG attempt, I only had a couple weeks to study after I got my failing score, so I really didn't study enough.

Also, for my third attempt I took almost all of my notes on note cards, so that when I was done studying a section, I had a great study tool to use afterwards. I went through each note card and if it was easy, I put it in the Easy Pile. I kept studying until all of my note cards were in the Easy Pile. I was constantly going through those note cards. I probably had at least 80 of them. And now they are in the garbage. 🙂

I had this problem today with AUD. It also happened to another guy taking the REG section. I don't even think he was able to finish it. I finished mine, but I didn't answer the last question using the authoritative guidance. I know I got it wrong. I just hope that one question didn't screw me up. I will never take it at the beginning of a testing window again. I think I will stick to my policy of taking it at the end of the window so that they get all the bugs worked out. The lady at the testing center said it happened to a bunch of people on Saturday, and they had to reschedule. I refused to reschedule because this was my reschedule from Hurricane Irene and I am about to make a cross-country move in two weeks. Plus, I only had two questions left when it froze. I didn't get a ticket number, though (maybe because I finished).
