    Hi,

Just curious seems like most people here were “suprised” to the upside (honestly sorry for those that weren’t) but looking at the posts I see alot of just released scores in the mid/high 80s. Now from seeing these ppl’s posts pre test they seemed prepared but just curious. I know I was suprised with my score

    I kind of agree mini…

Your preparation is like training for war. Train well, you are ready for anything. Train for the least effort required, you will likely die.

However, there is an element of luck to what kind of test you get. It's impossible to know everything and get every question correct, so you are a bit in luck if you happen across SIMS that you know well as opposed to know less well. So I think there is somewhat of an element of luck.

However, I honestly believe—having done it both ways—that adequate preparation is the difference between a failing grade (given terribly difficult sims) and a high 80's exam.

I know that information I have gotten off of this site has been really helpful to me in taking the exam, and probably gives a lot of us a slight advantage over candidates that don't use it. For example, I'm not sure I would have known to watch my time while taking FAR and I doubt I would have thought to really utilize the Research tab for all the AUD Sims had I not seen that information posted here.
